CALL BY THE GOVERNOR OF HONG KONG ON THE CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF

I see from Hong Kong Telegram No 709 that the Governor would like to call on the CDS during his visit to London. We shall be glad to help arrange such a call if you wish.

2 We should be interested in seeing the background paper for the CDS's call when it is received from Hong Kong. I have already reminded Major Woolstencroft MOD DS 6 that we have not seen the latest exchange of correspondence be the CDS and CBFHK on the question of the armoured stockpile (although I assume this will only be one of the items which the Governor may wish to rese), he has promised to send us copies.
