UNITED KINGDOM PASSPORT HOLDERS

HONG KONG

About half of the population of Hong Kong are citizens

of the United Kingdom and Colonies. The vast majority of

these have British citizenship because of thier birth in the

colony. They do not therefore have unrestricted access to

this country. Their entry is regulated under Commonwealth

Immigration Acts. At the moment the quota is 200 immigrants

a year.

How do they differ from Ugandan UKPH?

On independence Ugandan Asians no longer derived their

citizenship from their connection with a colony.
