At a stall further along the route, Lady Douglas-Home and Lady
MacLehose who were in the party were attracted by a toy stall. ·
Lady Douglas-Home bought two inflatable toys and an "X-Ray Gun"
for her grand children.
Meanwhile, the Governor and Sir Alec had stopped at a stall selling
procelain vases and figurines. A graceful Goddess of Mercy (Kwun Yim) caught
the eye of Sir Alec and, after talking to the stallholder, he bought it to
take home with him.
After a relaxed fifteen minutes in the fair grounds the visitors
returned to Government House.
