Passports

Current passports are required by all members of the party, but visas are needed for Thailand only. These have been obtained and issued.

Vaccinations and inoculations

Requirements were given in Advance Administrative Arrangements, TXC 2/C/3, dated 14 January 1972.

Tickets and labels

(a) ir tickets for those travelling independently at any

stage will be issued as soon as possible

(b) Baggage labels are enclosed. Names should be written

clearly. Unused labels should not be allowed to fall into unauthorised hands.

BLUE for those staying in Residences and other HMG

house (Embassy Compounds etc)

RED

for those staying in hotels (sufficient labels are enclosed for changes to be made en route if necessary)

YELLOW for attachment in addition to items of luggage

to be cabin loaded.

Baggage

(a) Those travelling in the charter aircraft are asked to

keep their baggage within 66 lbs weight

(b) The baggage weight allowance on scheduled flights is

661bs for those with first class tickets, and 441bs for those travelling economy class.

Insurance

The' insurance of baggage at HMG's expense is not permissible, but in the case of baggage lost in transit, or while the owner is drawing Subsistence Allowance, claims of up to £200 (no one article more tham £50) may be submitted for items not already covered by existing policies.
