2. Mr. Barrance has investigated the return flight. The Comet can only do 51⁄2 hrs flying time and does not have the equipment for polar flights. It could not come east-about because there are not sufficient stops. The return therefore has to be by a large loop around Asia, stopping at Hong Kong, Bangkok, Delhi, Dubai and Istanbul. From Tokyo to London would take 29 hours. Taking away a time difference
