1. There have until now been two possible dates for the 17th SDABO Council Meeting, to be held in Australia in 1972: April or early July. (Pencil entries for both periods have boca made in the Secretary of State's diary, pending clearer indication of Australian intentions.)

At the Council Representatives Meeting in Bangkok on & 18 August, the Australian Representative proposed that the Council Meeting should be held in Canberra on 4-5 July.

thuse dates include US Independence Day, the Americans are likely to propose 6-7 July. I recommend that at the next Coun Representatives' Meeting on 15 September, Sir A de la Marè suu he instructed to accept oither pair of dates.
