тра
Five new aircraft parking bays will be built shortly at Hong Kong
Airport under a scheme to extend the parking facilities and provide a new
outer taxiway.
The parking bays are to be constructed on the old asphalt outer
taxiway which is being replaced by a new one completed recently.
The work consists of the reconstruction of about 18,500 square
yards of the taxiway in concrete and the installation of fuelling and
electrical services.
This will take about six months to complete.
The project forms the last part of the present extension programme
which will provide a total of 23 aircraft parking bays and new taxiway routes.
Nine new aircraft parking bays, built under the same extension
programme, were put into use about a month ago.
