We should be grateful for any comments you may have on the letter as a whole and in particular on X at page 1. Also appreciated would be any advice you can offer on the advantages or disadvantages of a long-term solution based on the application of Section 735(1) of the 1874 Act; on Section 2 of the Merchant Shipping (Equivalent Frovisions) Act 1925 or on the establishment of a separate Marine Register.
