HONG KONG IMMIGRATION ORDINANCE 1971

1. On the basis of the analysis of immigration legislation in dependent territories attached to Mr Parry's minute of 20 December, paragraph 10 of the draft submission accurately summarises the present position. In particular I would agree that the particular circumstances of Hong Kong are so different from those obtaining in other territories that the practice in other dependent territories would not necessarily be appropriate in Hong Kong.
