A proposal of the kind contained in paragraph 5 of Hong Kong telegram no 648, making some special provision for the special circumstances of Chinese aliens permanently resident in Hong Kong, is unobjectionable from the point of view of West Indian Department.

3. I confirm that the deportation provisions in the Bermuda legislation apply alike to aliens and to those British subjects who do not possess Bermudian status.
