a demonstration organised by the Federation on 7 July

in connection with the Tiao - Yu Tai (Sen Ka Ku) Islands.

The background to that matter is given in Hong Kong

5. It is clear from the letter and its enclosures

that the Federation have given a great deal of thought

and that to the Chinese Language issue in Hong Kong the

the Chinese Language Committee in Hong Kong which has

acknowledged the merit of the research carried out by

the Federation,

The Chinese Language Committee has now produced

its first three reports all of which have been tabled

in the Legislative Council. The Committee's fourth

and final report is now awaited.
