a letter to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry

2. I have been in touch with the DTI which is not fully manned today who are obtaining the original from Mr Davies' office. I am asking them to let us see the substantive reply in draft and will clear it together with a draft acknowledgement of Mr Blaker's letter to the Secretary of State which is to be signed by Lord Lothian.
