UNCTAD GENERALISED PREFERENCE SCHEME

I enclose for your information a descriptive article on the General Preference Scheme which appeared in the publication "Trade and Industry" on 24 March.

Since the article was published the EEC have announced that they will implement their scheme from 1 July. Enabling legislation

own scheme is included in the Finance Bill, at present before Parliament, with a view to our being in a position to introduce the UK generalised preference scheme before the end of the year.
