Contacts between airnort authorities la Hong Kong and Canton In the past a channel for exergoney communications between the Kaitak authorities and Canton airport has been agrocû at the

technical level with the Chinese. In practice it has caten

proved difficult to activate this channol. Written communications

between civil aviation authorities in Hong Kong and Canton suggesting improvement of the channel have been ignored by the Chinese. The situation romulag unsatisfactory and there is room

for improvement.
