Information work in Fiji and Tonga is still in an
embryonic state and is looked after by Head of
Chancery and the Deputy High Commissioner respectively.
In the Pacific Dependencies there is no UK Information
post. Information material (mainly COI) is sent
from London to the Information Departments of the
governments concerned. Virtually none of this
material is prepared specifically for them.
Overall Assessment
We do not envisage any appreciable expansion of the
present level of activity in the foreseeable future.
