HONG KONG ROYAL INSTRUCTIONS 1917 - 1971

GOVERNOR
In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause III of
the Hong Kong Royal Instructions 1917 - 1971, I appoint
GEORGE RONALD ROSS
Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Justice
of the Peace, provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure,
to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council of
Hong Kong with effect from 1st August 1971 during the absence from
the Colony of Sir Douglas Clague, Commander of the Most Excellent
Order of the British Empire, upon whom has been conferred the
Decoration of the Military Cross, Queen's Police Medal, Territorial
Decoration, Justice of the Peace.
