In addition, a meeting with Grimwood and McKellar of the H.K. Trade Development Council, with David Sellers (who heads the Commercial Section in this office) present, would, I think, be worthwhile as en introduction to Hong Kong's current trading prospects and problems. These will also certainly be prominent in any discussions you have with the Hong Kong Association, the Chairman of which, I understand, has already written to you inviting you to meet its members for lunch.

From your programme it seems that all the activities covered in this letter are likely to take place during June after you have had your meeting with Bir David Trench. There will need to be close co-ordinat- ion between the 7.C.O. and this office. If you so wish, I would be happy to consult the F.C.O. on the visits which they will be arranging and prepare a programme to incorporate there visits, as well as those arising from paragraphs 2, 3, 6 and 7.
