detract from the value of the visit.

I accordingly recommend:
(i) that we should continue to press for
a visit by Princess Alexandra to Hong
Kong in September, 1970 (although now
that the Governor's term of office has
been extended for a further year this
date could probably be put back to
the second half of October; we should
need to consult the Governor about
this).
(ii) that the whole cost of the visit
should be borne by HMG whether or
not the visit is confined to Hong
Kong or is extended to include
Malaysia or any other country.
