I expect you will have seen my two letters

in this series to Gaminara dated 24th August and 8th September 1970, and I wondered whether it is now possible for you to give us any indication of the prospects of a visit to Hong Kong by Princess Alexandra some time next year.

I have no doubt but that this question will be brought up by Sir David whilst he is in England and I would not of course wish in this correspondence to cut across any such discussion. But I am sure you will appreciate that a good deal of time will be needed for the preparations for such a visit and I would be grateful for any information which may now be available.

I am sending a copy of this letter to Sir David's U.K. address for his information.
