Thank you for your letter of February 2 about the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary's proposed visit to Japan from April 20-24. This is to let you know that the Prime Minister has approved this visit on the basis set out in your letter. The Chief Whip has asked that the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary should have registered a firm live pair for the period of his visit by April 12.
