PASSPORTS, VISAS AND HEALTH

(a) Each of those travelling is being asked to ensure that his/her passport is valid. Visas are not required.

(b)

Valid certificates for vaccination/inoculation against Smallpox, TAB and Cholera must be taken with them by each of those travelling. Appoint- ments can be made at Queen Alexandra's Military Hospital, Millbank. (834 9060, extension 211)

(c) All members of the party are being informed of the above requirements.

WORKING ACCOMMODATION

(a) Hong Kong: The Private Office will be in

Government House. Miss Booker will work from an hotel suite.

(b) Tokyo: The Private Office will be in the

Residence. Miss Booker will work from the Information Counsellor's Office and also from his House No. 3; during the Osaka visit she will work from an hotel suite there.

Cypher and DWS facilities will be provided on a 24 hour basis: Hong Kong have said that they do not require reirforcements for their staff.

Bag Services: No confidential bag arrives in Hong Kong from the FCO during the visit; there is, however, one confidential bag closing at Hong Kong on Saturday, 18 April, arriving in the FCO on Monday, 20 April.

Telephones: The Hong Kong Government are being asked what the normal telephone arrangements are at Government House and Fanling Lodge. Details will be given in the Administrative Arrangements.
