I hope you will not mind a further exchange about Hong Kong' We last corresponded in August/September last year.
No doubt you know that the Hong Kong Government are going ahead with the extension of the runway at Kai Tak, and I enclose an extract from the Budget Speech and a leader on the subject from the local Press, which you may or may not have seen.
I shall be in Hong Kong myself the week after Easter, on the way to an IATA Traffic Advisory Committee in Tokyo, and I have a date to call on Sir John Cowperthwaite, whom I have not actually met as yet. I was away when we entertained him here last summer.
If you could kindly bring me up to date on any developments as far as HMG is concerned since you wrote me on your EE 78/020 of 10 September I would be very grateful.
