10.37 From Table 5 it can be seen that to complete the reclamation of the remaining 86 acres of Gin Drinkers Bay, as approved on Outline Development Plan LTW/103, would require about 5 million cu. yds. of filling material. Of this area about 40 acres are proposed for inclusion in the Container Terminal and this would require about 24 million cu. yds. of material to reclaim. As a result of the layout now recommended for the Terminal an additional quantity of fill amounting to about 4 million cu. yds. would be required to reclaim the rest the Terminal area sited to seaward of the existing breakwater and to fill the proposed desalination-plant site.
