PART II.
Control of immigration.
For the purposes of this Ordinance, an immigration
officer may
?
(a) examine any person on his arrival in or prior to
his departure from Hong Kong;
(b) examine a person at any time if he has reason to
believe that such person is committing an offence
under paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 31
and has not previously been examined in respect of
such offence under this section,
and a person who is so examined may be required by an
immigration officer to submit to further examination.

4.
(1) The Director may require the master of a ship
as the
or commander of an aircraft to produce in such manner

the passengers arriving or departing in that ship
or aircraft; and
(b) the members of the crew of that ship or aircraft.
(2) A requirement under subsection (1)
-
(a) shall be deemed to be made to the master of the ship
or commander of the aircraft if it is made to the
owner of the ship or aircraft or his agent;
