Section 26(2).

(a) following his arrest on a warrant issued under subsec-
tion (3) of section 5 of the Deportation (British
Subjects) Ordinance; or
(b) in accordance with the direction of a judge, court or
magistrate given under section 7 of that Ordinance,
may continue to be detained as if a detention warrant had been
issued in respect of him on the commencement date under subsec- tion (2) of section 26; and the provisions of this Ordinance shall
apply accordingly.
17.
A person who is being detained immediately before the
commencement date under the authority of a warrant issued under
section 4 or 5 of the Deportation of Aliens Ordinance may continue
to be detained as if a detention warrant had been issued in res-
pect of him on the commencement date under subsection (2) of
section 26; and the provisions of this Ordinance shall apply
accordingly.
Section 27(3).
18. A person who is being detained immediately before the commencement date under subsection (2) of section 9 of the Deport- ation (British Subjects) Ordinance or subsection (2) of section 8
of the Deportation of Aliens Ordinance, may continue to be detained as if his detention had been authorized by the Colonial
Secretary under subsection (3) of section 27.
Section 27(3).
19.
A person who is being detained immediately before the commencement date under subsection (4) of section 43 of the Immi- gration (Control and Offences) Ordinance may continue to be detained as if his detention had been authorized by the Colonial Secretary under subsection (3) of section 27 of this Ordinance.
