(2) An alien shall not be required to comply with subsec-

tion (1)

(a)

until the expiry of fourteen days after his arrival,

unless he is required by landing conditions or notice

given to him by an immigration officer to comply with

that subsection forthwith;

(b) if he has previously furnished such photographs to

the Director within the preceding three years; or

(c)

if he is a member of the crew of a ship.

(3) The Director of Immigration may exempt from subsec-

tion (1) any person or any class or description of persons.

Resident alien to furnish particulars

etc.

14. (1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), an alien

within Hong Kong who

(a) attains the age of sixteen years; or

(b) having previously been exempted from this subsection

or subsection (4) of section 6 (otherwise than by

reason of his age), ceases to be so exempted,

shall within one month thereafter

(i) furnish to the Director in the prescribed form the

particulars required thereby; and

(ii) furnish the prescribed photographs of himself.

(2) The Director of Immigration may exempt from subsection

(1) any person or any class or description of persons.
