in the Executive Council that the income limit for admission to Government

Low-Cost Housing in Kwai Chung bo raised to $600

and above $500.

exactly 20 per cent over

As to the Housing Authority ostates' income limit of $900, covering

approval had been given to the time-honoured practice of tho Housing Authority

of lotting certain vacancies in the highor rontal flats to familios with an

assessed income of $1,250, a sum well above 20 per cent over and above the

ceiling of $900.

Mr. Tsui saw little hope of extending the housing programmo boyond

the target proposed by the Housing Board which already amounted to a

very heavy commitmont on public funds, taken together with expenditure in

other fields."

Any expansion of offort would moan a curtailmont in smo other
