establishment of similar organizations

for other forms of agriculture. However,

other agricultural produce, such as poultry,

pigs, flowers, fruits, milk, eggs, etc.,

do not presently lend themselves readily

to control by a marketing organization;

nor is there any apparent demand by

individual producers or consumers for

regulation of the trade by such machinery.

If the demand for such organizations

it is understood that should arise in future/the Hong Kong

the

Government would be prepared to consider

their establishment in the light of

(vi) Representative of Heung Yee Kuk on Executive and Legislative Councils

Members of the Executive and

Legislative Councils are not appointed on

a geographical basis. This does not mean,

however, that New Territories interests or,

for the matter, the interests of any other

geographical area, are being neglected.

You are no doubt aware that members of the

two Councils have been making regular visits

to the New Territories, particularly during

the past two years and more visits are

planned. A number of questions have been

asked in the Legislative Council on New

Territories matters recently. In addition,

members of the Kuk hate, of course, access

to the office of UMELCO.
