Dear Hr. Xallac.,

Now that the Privy Council has dismissed the Rediffusion Appeal in connection with the implementation of the 1956 Copyright Act for Hong Kong, we very much hope that this Act subject to minor modifi- cations will be extended to ilong Kong without further delay. This as you know would be a considerable help to us in our continuin; fight against record piracy. The solicitors acting for EMI (long Kong) Limited have recently been advised by the Attorney General that he is still awaiting advice as to when the Order in Council extending the 1955 Act to Hong Kong will be issued and I wonder therefore whether you would be kind enough to let me know what is the resent position. It is just possible that Hr. Sterling may already have raised this matter with you and if so would you please excuse this second enquiry.

Yours sincerely,

C. B. DAWSON PANE Manager
