to be able to practise at the Bar. With our retiring age as low as 55, most District Judges will want to find other work to do when they leave the Bench.

I would be very grateful to know whether you have had experience of similar applications from judges of intermediate courts in other overseas territories and for your advice generally on the problem. You might perhaps feel that it would be worthwhile speaking to the Lord Chancellor's Office about the matter?
