9. The Executive Council advised that the

revised Bill be introduced into the Legis-

lative Council. This was followed by:-

(1) Talks between the Department and

the Governor in December, 1969.

(ii)Further correspondence with the

Attorney-General, Hong Kong, in

and

December, 1969, January-March, 1970,

in which the Hong Kong authorities

were warned that certain features of

the Bill would require submission to

Ministers.

(iii) The formal submission by the

Governor of his

views to be put before

Ministers (Amex

pand 2).

(iv)Further talks with the Attorney-

General, Hong Kong, in August, 1970.
