Hong Kong's financial position in a substantial and markedly

adverse way, the Hong Kong Government may request consultations

with the Government of the United Kingdom, with a view to

reviewing any of the arrangements set out above.

In the consideration of these arrangements the Hong Kong Unofficial representatives took note of the fact that, in the event of increases in wages becoming desirable

for locally enlisted personnel and locally engaged civilians, it might become necessary to consider variations in the

arrangements.
