d. We do not understand the assertion that an annual figure of £71M would cover price inflation of roughly 10 per cent per annum over the 5-year period. Assuming a starting point as low as the £6.55M quoted in para 4 of the Governor's letter, the 5-year total is almost £40M on the basis of an annual 10 per cent increase for inflation.
