Further information has now been provided
by the Ministry of Defence and is contained
in the following documents copies of which
are enclosed:-
(1) a revised Annex B to replace
that enclosed with Sir Leslie
Monson's letter HKK10/9 of 9th
October, 1969.
(2) a broad functional breakdown
of the estimated works costs for
the garrison during the period
1971-1976.
J. As regards (1), you will note that ther
figures given represent very substantial
increases over those contained in the original
Annex B. The Ministry of Defence state
that this is because:
(a) Part II services under £5000
and Part III services, both of
which had been excluded from the
original Annex B, have now been
included.
(b) the scope and cost of some
services have been re-assessed.
