Kong's case for duty refunds might be stren-

A Hong Kong suggestion that the UK
might contribute to its civil airport develop-
ment, which was never a s.rong runner, has now
collapsed with the contract for the develop-
ment being given to a Japanese firm.
KLM and Hong Kong

Hong Kong has supported for some time
the renting of landing rights at the civil
airport to KLM. Kinisters have now agreed
that the offer of these rights should be
made to the Dutch Coverament, as part of a
deel involving military hardware, and Dutch
support for equitable treatment of Hong
Kong in our EEC negotiations. If this
subject is raised by Hong Kong officiels,
they could be told of the latest decision.
