This is a brief reply to your letter of 26 January,

I have ensured that Bell as you put it "knows of the existence of your office", The purpose of his visit, of course, is to have discussions about financial matters with the Hong Kong Government. But I believe that if his programme (which is, no doubt, very full) allows he will get in touch with you, and be pleased both to hear from you on UK/Hong Kong trade and give you some indication at least of the scope of his financial talks.

J. K. Blackwell, Esq., Senior Trade Commissioner, HONG KONG.
