I mentioned to you in my letter of 30th December, 1969 where we stood over the possibility that the contract to instal a radar for the Civil Airport at Beacon Hill would be awarded to the Italian firm of Selenia. I said that we might

be taking steps to ensure that Plessey's case to be awarded this contract was considered by the Hong Kong Government.

We have now done this and I enclose for your information a copy of the letter Michael Wilford wrote to Hugh Norman- Walker about this matter.
