The local correspondent of the Far Eastern Economic Review has asked us about this and we are giving him some unattributable background information to try to put the matter into perspective. We are not doing this in any detail but are drawing attention to the fact that in our view a Trade Agreement with the E.E.C. is the best solution for Malaysia for practical reasons including the views of the Six. We are also saying that we are keeping in contact and are happy to continue to discuss this matter with the Malaysians and have told them so.
