There followed a short discussion with Lehembre and Ravenna which was mainly concerned with conversion factors. In the course of this discussion, Dorward undertook to supply a table of concordance which would show the .d.C. offer in metric tons and the square yards equivalent calculated according to the G.A.T.T. conversion factor of 9,000 square yards to one metric ton. Attached to this there would be a list of U.S. conversion factors according to the 64 categories; and an up to date list of the 64 categories themselves.

The question of regular shipment returns was also discussed and Ravenna expressed the view that the E.E.C. would only require quarterly returns. By way of illustration of the working of the export authorisation system, Dorward undertook to provide Ravenna with a specimen of the Benelux shipment returns. Dorward said he would try to provide all the promised documents at the earlist possible date.
