Amend the Trade Union Registration Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

Short title and

commencement.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Trade Union Regis-

tration (Amendment) Ordinance 1971, and shall come into operation

on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Amendment of

section 1.

(Cap. 332.)

2. Section 1 of the principal Ordinance is amended by

deleting "Union Registration" and substituting the following -

Amendment of section 2.

"Unione".

3.

Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended -

(a) by inserting, before the definition of "employee",

the following definitions

""branch" means any number of members of a trade

union who have in accordance with the consti-

tution of the trade union appointed their own

management committee but who are under the

control of the executive committee of such

trade union and are bound by the constitution

of the trade union to contribute to its funds;
