EXECUTIVE COUNCIL DECISION OF 8.12.70
The Council considered memorandum XCC(70)62.
The Council ADVISED and the Acting Governor ORDERED:
(a) that, subject to the points detailed
below, the Trade Inion Registration (Amendment) Bill 1971 be introduced into the Legislative Council :
(1)
Clause 9(c) the proposed new subsection (34) of section 17 should empower the Governor in Council rather than the Governor to amend the First Schedule;
(ii) Clause 29
Clause 29 - item (e) of the proposed new First Schedule should be amended, subject to further consideration by this Council, by the itemisation of particular offences which may involve violence;
(iii) Clause 10 should be redrafted as advised
orally by the Acting Attorney General.
(b) that the Trade Union Registration (Amendment)
Regulations 1971 be agreed in principle and re-submitted to Council to be made if the Trade Union Registration (Amendment) Bill 1971 is enacted.
