Pay and productivity agreement relating to Vauxhall motors.
Thank you for the copy of the abstract of the pay and productivity agreement negotiated by Vauxhall Motors in November 1969. This is most useful but I should be grateful for further details under the subhead relating to equal pay for women in respect of the following points :
::/(a)
does acceptance of common hours of work for men and women affect
(i) the statutory period of rest
for women after continuous employment of between 4 to
5 hours,
(ii) the statutory limits for each
day, week, or year on overtime
for women;
(b) what are the conditions under which women are available for work on the night shift with regard to
(i) minimum numbers of women actually
employed,
(ii) compulsory rotation between night
and day shifts,
(iii) restriction of supervision of
operatives to women supervisors,
(iv) medical restrictions on sick or
pregnant women.
