TIENTION CONSUMERS:
GREAT BRITAIN HAS A "YEN" FOR COOLIE WAGES
The British Crown Colony of Hong Kong is flooding the American Market with apparel and textile imports made in its 27-cent-an-hour sweatshops. American workers cannot and do not want to compete with these sweatshop wages.
The flood of low wage imports will bring rising relief and welfare rolls. Amer- ican consumers cannot allow unlimited imports to destroy our industry and jobs.
Great Britain has failed to negotiate an agreement to moderate the flow of these imports. Think before you patronize products of Great Britain. Let Great Britain know that you favor control of these sweatshop imports to the United States.
