restriction to adult women aged 18 years or more who voluntarily agree in writing to be employed at night;
restriction of night shifts to a maximum period of employment of eight hours;
rotation of shifts so that no woman is required to work at night for more than one month without working for not less than an equal period of employ- ment during the day;
a minimum of 100 women workers on each night shift;
first-line supervision, where necessary, of women workers by women supervisors at a ratio of one supervisor for not more than ten workers;
restrictions on the employment of pregnant women especially during the later stages of pregnancy;
(g)
suitable facilities for canteens, rest rooms, and sitting whenever possible.
In addition, he may impose special conditions for individual factories to ensure that material conditions, including lighting, ventilation, and cleanliness, would be up to satisfactory standards. The labour inspect- orate would inspect factories during the night to ensure that the general conditions and any special conditions which might be imposed were fully observed.
