Unfortunately, Mr. Royle, Sir L. Monson,
Mr. Bottomley, Mr. Goombs and you, yourself, will be away during the week 5 - 9 October when Mr. Haddon-Cave will be visiting the FCO. However, we have managed to make appointments with all the others whom he should see and
I suggest you might now care to write to Mr. Steel as in
the draft attached. I hope that it will be possible to arrange for Mr. Royle and some of the others who will be away in early October to see Mr. Haddon-Cave when he makes
his farewell visit to the FCO towards the end of November.
We can leave the arrangements for this until after
Mr. Haddon-Cave has arrived.
