HEATH'S ADVISER

ON HONGKONG By Our Political Correspondent Mr Heath, Leader of the Op. position, has invited Mr Anthony Royle, 42, Conservative MP for Richmond, Surrey, to be chairman of his new policy committee on Hongkong. The committee stems from Mr Heath's visit to the Far East in January.

Its task is to study British policy towards Hongkong in the light of the colony's economic, constitutional and social prob- lems, and to make recommenda tions to a Conservative Govern- ment. Mr Royle, an Opposition Whip, is a former officer of the party's committee on Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
