is the nominee of the Hong Kong Chamber of

Commerce. Since the last century there have

been two "closed" seats on the Council which

have been filled by a nominee of the Chamber

and a nominee of the Justices of the Peace (as

a body).

In place of the above four members the

The Governor gives (in paragraphs 22-25 of his

unofficial members, the Governor recommends

reappointment, although he expresses a degree

of doubt in three cases (Messrs. P. C. Woo,

S. Y. Chung and W. Wong). Again, I do not

think that we are in a position to query his
