Since yesterday's meeting with Mr. Anthony Royle and the subsequent interview were important mile stones in the development of the new UMELCO machinery, I thought it advisable to make notes of what happened.

The

I am therefore sending you two draft notes. first is a summary of points made at the meeting with the Members of UMELCO. The second was rather more difficult to commit to paper because it was not possible for me to keep a record at the time; hence it is based entirely on memory. But I hope it does substantially represent what was said.

If there should be any amendments which you consider necessary to these two drafts, I would be grateful to know of them. I should add that Sir Albert Rodrigues has seen these two records, copies of which I would also propose to send to the Deputy Colonial Secretary.
