I have the honour to inform you that I have appointed Dr. S. Y. CHUNG, OBE, JP provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council with effect from 23rd May 1970 during the absence from the Colony of Mr. TANG Ping-yuan, OBE, JP.

Dr. Chung, an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council since 1st July 1968, has not previously served on the Executive Council.
