Creation of a post of Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration
(Ombudsman) in Hong Kong
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary,
Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Mr.Royle),
had discussions on this subject during his
visit to Hong Kong in October.
Although he expressed his support for
the Parliamentary Wade Secretary the creation of such a post, he agreed-

that before any conclusion reached on
thes matter, the recently reorganised office
of the Unofficial Members of the Executive
and Legislative Councils should be given

existing machinery in Hong Kong for enabling
